Technology Must-Haves while on the Road

Nowadays we can’t really ignore the importance of our technological belongings. Whether we go on a tour by a car or fly across the globe, travel gadgets are our best friends. These friends don’t only make our lives easier, but also keep us entertained. These devices are needed for our safety, entertainment, practicality and sometimes even for decoration!

I have been seeing smarter and more innovative travel gadgets becoming available that help make traveling a whole lot easier. So I decided to prepare a list of cool travel gadgets to take with you during your trips. Especially with the holidays coming, you can gift one of these travel devices to your loved ones.

1- Solar-Powered Charger

Power back up for laptops, smartphones and tablets is one of the most important devices during travels. Especially if you are constantly on the move, you will not have time to charge your power bank – so why not going for a solar powered power bank?

There is one thing to remember when picking up the right power bank/charger – Solar chargers are different than solar power banks. When solar power bank is a device that converts solar energy into an electric energy and stores it in a battery, solar chargers transfers the energy to your device and not store it in its battery.

2- Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

A wireless noise cancelling headphone is a life saver especially during long flights. Turn the noise cancelling on and you are in a different world. The good ones are still expensive but trust me, it is worth the money.

I personally recommend Bose QuietComfort 35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, Noise-Cancelling, with Alexa voice control, enabled with Bose AR.

3- Drone

Photography and videography has become almost everyone’s interest. Travelers and bloggers are competing with eachother to share the best captures from their travels. So why not getting creative with the help of a drone?

With a good quality drone, you can share your adventures on the go! Just make sure to check the drone regulations of the country you’ll visit to avoid any penalty.

4- Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Nowadays in the era of mobile devices, you may think that a bluetooth speaker wouldn’t be a necessity. But you are wrong! There is a reason portable bluetooth speakers are becoming more and more popular. First of all, the sound quality is way better than your phone’s speaker; especially if you are at a bbq party and you want to share your music with others. It is not only useful during travels, but also at home. Use your bluetooth speaker to answer calls hands free, or use it as a decoration item.

5- Portable Travel Iron

You never know when you will need a nicely ironed shirt, or get the major wrinkles out of your nice blouse. Just ensure that the travel iron you will buy is compact, easy to carry and lightweight.

6- Amazon Kindle

Unless you prefer to smell a good book’s papers while reading, or use your mobile phone instead, Amazon’s Kindle make the reading experience pretty pleasant. It is easy to use and light to carry anywhere you go.

It is a bit more expensive than the basic Kindle but I would definitely recommend you to go for the new Paperwhite model as it allows you to read in the dark.

7- Digital Luggage Scale

You found a very good flight deal but always end up paying extra for the luggage at the airport? A portable digital luggage scale may cost around $10 but it will save you from all the additional costs at the airports.
